What steps should I take before my Jeep's lease ends?

  • 90 days out: You're 3 months away from the end of the lease. What happens now? It's at this point in the process that our team recommends you start researching the options available to you. This includes deciding to finish your lease and move on, lease another vehicle on our lot, or even decide to buy your current Jeep if you want to keep driving it. Our lease team will always be around if you have any questions about these options.
  • 60 days out: Don't forget the always-important self-inspection, where you can utilize the Wear Tool. You will want to see if any extra wear and tear has occurred with your Jeep so you can get those issues solved before it's time to turn in your Jeep. Should you end up finding something, you can schedule an appointment with our service team, and we'll make sure that we can eliminate any surprise and added stress that could happen in the future.
  • 30 days out: Make your final decision! This is the time when you need to figure out what happens next. Are you sticking with your current Jeep? Are you leasing another one from our dealership? Our finance team needs to be in the know so we can make this a smooth transition for you and for us. The more time we have to prepare, the easier it will be when the final day arrives.

Is a pre-return inspection covered?

While a self-inspection is great, we will always recommend that our customers go through a pre-return inspection, especially since it's covered under your lease contract. These inspections help find any issues before the final return, so you can get problems solved, avoid the hassle of unexpected issues at turn-in, and provide you with a comprehensive assessment of your ride. We all wanted to be prepared, and what better way than a completely free-of-charge service that can make your life easier in the long run. These inspections should be done anywhere from 90 to 10 days before your return, so when those days arrive, make sure to remember how important this is!

What is the end-of-lease checklist I should follow?

There are a few things you will want to do when it's time to officially turn in your Jeep. The first thing, after scheduling your pre-return inspection, is to make sure you set up an appointment with us for the return date! We also want to remind you to complete the Odometer Statement at our dealership, return the keys/fobs/manuals/other accessories, remove the toll tag, remove your license plates, remove any of your personal items that may also be in your Jeep, and delete all of the information that your devices may have included on your Jeep's programs. Once all of that is done, that's where our dealership will take care of the rest and let you know if there is anything else we might need from you.

When will I get my end-of-term invoice?

This is not something that you will get on the day of your return. Your end-of-term invoice charges will be billed anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks after your return. When you want to pay off any charges that you have incurred, you can do so in three different ways. The first is by going online to your accounts, then end of the lease, and finally make payment. Should you do it by phone, you'll just need to call 800-439-0985. Finally, if you do it by mail, make sure you are addressing it to Stellantis Financial Services, 75 Remittance Drive, Suite 1738, Chicago, IL 60675. Once that's paid off, you're all set!
